Get FREE music downloads from the comfort of your home!!
Tiffin-Seneca Public Library announces its partnership with Freegal, a network of public library websites that offer access to songs from Sony Music’s huge catalog of legendary artists.
The service will allow the library to increase the size and diversity of its collection by offering access to hundreds of thousands of songs.
Under the terms of the agreement, registered card holders of Tiffin-Seneca Public Library can download a select number of Sony Music tracks in the MP3 format each month at no direct cost via www.tiffinsen.lib.oh.us. The library will underwrite the purchase of the music.
Sony Music Entertainment is a global recorded music company with a roster of current artists that includes a broad array of both local artists and international superstars. Some artists that are available to library patrons are Pink, Adele, Pitbull, Tony Bennett, Whitney Houston, John Mayer, Kenny Chesney and many, many more. The company boasts a vast catalog that comprises some of the most important recordings in history.
“We have been waiting a long time for a service like this that delivers great music, compatibility with lots of devices and simplicity of use. We think this will be incredibly popular with our patrons and will help the library in marketing all its services to the community,” said Julie Haferd, head of the Media Department.

Students entering sixth grade through grade twelve are welcome to join in the fun. Registration begins June 1 at the Junior Library Desk. The program will last all summer, until July 31.
The “Teen Summer Reading Kick-Off Party” will start the summer of special programs on Friday, June 1 from 3:30 to 5:30 pm. Participants will learn about the program, see all of the prizes, play reading jeopardy and eat ice cream.
